House Memorial Resolution 1004 - Celebrating the Life and Contributions and Mourning the Passing of Nick Masullo
Nick Masullo of Fayetteville died peacefully in his home with his wife and friends on Saturday evening, Sept. 6, 2008.
Nick has two sons, Clayton Yarri Davis and Chris.
Nick's grandson, Jacob, is the son of Yarri and his wife Aurora. Yarri is a geologist living in Texas.
Chris is in school and acting and directing in New York City.
Nick has five sisters, Bo, Karen, Robin, Penny and Brenda.
Nick's music and writing brought his unique and sometimes startling points of view to life. He considered himself to be of the Jewish faith and to be an " honorary" Canadian citizen. He felt that the community of " Fate'ville" was his dearest sanctuary. Nick's last wish was that the release of his new book of stories, " Hold You When You Cry, " be the celebration of his life and work. Two days before his death, he planned the book release for Oct. 2. Time and place will be announced. He hoped that his community would join together to make this a joyful occasion.
The Masullo family and close friends will have a quiet tribute at home at 7 p. m. today. Nick was a Special Olympics ice-skating instructor. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Special Olympics and Washington Regional Hospice. Beard's Funeral Chapel and Crematory handled the cremation arrangements.
